Girls! We know what a messy pain period can be. Regardless of how much or how less your period cramps hurt, there is no denying that the hormonal changes during PMS and periods can make us extremely moody. And it also tires us out mentally and physically. Resting is usually recommended as it helps us. But what we don’t realize is that working out during periods can be of an ever greater help. I’ll just say it – Workouts are a period’s best friend. Period.

A new trend in the fitness industry is Destination Workouts. What are they you ask? It’s about a fitness and travel enthusiast traveling to various locations all across and working out in a natural environment. It gives a raw feel when you work out amidst nature and with no gym equipment support.

The workout focuses on strength training as well as cardio, while using your body weight and what nature has to offer. Sometimes, a few people also include basic equipment if nothing is available in the surroundings. The impact is not only on your physical body but also your mental well-being as nature makes you happy!

Sedentary Lifestyle: How Sitting At A Desk All Day Is Affecting Your Muscles

A lot of my friends have a corporate 9-5 job. Most of them spend close to nine hours a day glued to their desks. It’s an extremely sedentary lifestyle. We haven’t even taken into consideration the fact that we are all lying down for 8-9 hours every day.

Let’s do some quick math. That’s 16-17 hours out of 24 without any physical activity for your body. Even when we’re at home, we spend at least another hour or two watching our favorite shows on TV or maybe reading a book. If that is similar to your daily routine, your body is inactive for 75% of the day!

I know it’s comfortable, but we gotta face it — it’s a life of laziness. All your muscles are at rest, but that’s not what our bodies were designed for. Sitting down for long periods of time can actually harm various organs of your body.

Tuning In To The Power Of Music

Keeping yourself on track to stay focused on your fitness goals can be hard. There are a lot of things to do, too many distractions around and too little time to finish it all. Sounds familiar? Let’s face it, we’ve all been there.  But all you need is get yourself up and running requires determination and self discipline. Motivational speeches and talks work for some, but they may seem a little too clichéd for some.
